Minicolor G ~ mini gravimetric screw dosing unit

The Motan 'original' volumetric dosing unit, now available in gravimetric version with load cell technology. 

 
Same as our volumetric 'Minicolor V' but with the added accuracy & convenience of load cell technology, which effectively turns this simple auger blender into a cost effective gravimetric unit. 

Overview
Mounted between the machine hopper and the feed throat of the plastics processing machine the compact 'Minicolor G' requires very little space.  A stainless steel cruciform in the mixing neck divides the main component into two streams of material.  They flow together with the additives at the feed inlet guaranteeing an excellent, consistent mixture every time.   Two dosing heads are available for dosing two additives at the same time if required. 

The Motan Minicolor G is insensitive to vibrations and is specially designed for mounting directly onto the feed throat of the processing machine. Suitable for injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding etc.  

The unit is based on our long established 'Minicolor' concept but with the addition of a robust but extremely precise load-cell which operates using loss-in-weight metering technology.  This offers operational security for high level requirements.

• Gravinet MC is a touch sensitive control system, with a clear colour display.  Picture icon driven.  Very easy and intuitive to operate. 
• Does not require screw / throuhput calibration, its only recommended to calibrate your specific material which takes literally seconds to complete at the push of a button on the touch screen controller. 
• Recipes can be saved and loaded quickly to make color / additive changes as fast as possible. 
• Other useful control features include materbatch / additive consumption display, material alarm, external signals & interface connection. 

Options 

• Available in 3 dosing screw sizes for almost every application. 
• Standard Motan single & three phase hopper loaders can also be used for automatic loading of masterbatch / additive. 
• Motan 15 litre main material hopper also available, looks very smart and is also cost effective with hinged latching lid for operator safety and full length sight glass. 
• Exchange hoppers.  Extra material hoppers allow the fastest possible colour / additive changeover times (15 secs) without any tools. 

Technical Summary

• Injection Moulding ~ Any variation in the dosing time is automatically compensated by the Minicolor in order to maintain accuracy.

• Various screw sizes (G1, G2 & G3) are available to suit almost all throughputs of masterbatch / additive from 0.15 kg to 27 kg/hr. 
• Screws (G1-G3) are easily changed over without tools.
